On behalf of our faculty, staff, administration, and students, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Community and Mental Health Nursing Department at the Faculty of Nursing at Mutah University. The Community and Mental Health Nursing Department is one of three major departments at the Faculty of Nursing at Mutah University.
The theoretical and clinical nursing courses which offered by the Community and Mental Health Nursing Department at the undergraduate level include:

- Mental Health Nursing
- Mental Health Nursing -clinical
- Health education and Communication Skills,
- Epidemiology and Biostatistics,
- Health Education as an elective university course
- Geriatric Health Nursing,
- Palliative Health Nursing,
- Nursing, History, Trends and Issues
- Disasters and Emergency Nursing.
- Anatomy for nursing students
- Physiology for nursing students.
Moreover, theoretical course offered to the Master of Maternity and Neonate Health Nursing’s students is: Health Education and Counseling. Our clinical training settings include one lab, ministry of health hospitals, primary health care centers, psychiatric hospitals, private and public schools, nursing homes, industrial cities and factories, local community associations and disadvantage communities from different areas at AL-Karak governorate.
Currently, the department is run by 3 PhD-holder 2 full time lecturers holding master degree in nursing and 5 clinical instructors with bachelor’s degrees in nursing.
